8th Annual Transfer Student Success Summit
Division of Academic Affairs

June 10-14, 2024

The purpose of this week is to:

  • Connect transfer students to administrators, faculty and staff across campus
  • Share opportunities, including internships, research, international experiences, leadership, and scholarships
  • Introduce transfer students to various advising tools and what to expect for new student orientation
  • Build community among our transfer student population


New Fall 2024 Transfer Students at SDSU and the Imperial Valley Campus are welcome to attend any or all virtual sessions. All sessions are free and will complement information you receive at New Transfer Student Orientation.

Registration for the Transfer Student Success Summit will begin on June 3rd, 2024.

Becoming a Leader at SDSU:  Finding Your Why

This interactive session involves students in the process of identifying the meaning of leadership. Students will explore the purpose for their time at SDSU and beyond and share that with their colleagues. Strategies for exploring their “why” and how they can live that out at SDSU will be presented.

After attending this session, students will:

  • Reflect on the embodied view of leadership
  • Explore and identify their purpose for being at SDSU
  • Identify programs and strategies that will help them pursue their “why”
